stop and smell the roses

Scheduling a bit of Me Time can be magic!

Self Care.

Sometimes, we get so busy looking after everyone else, we forget about ourselves!

stop and smell the roses

I would like you just to think about that. Just for a minute. What have you done for you today?

Maybe you are all about you and have already had your ‘me’ time.

Perhaps you are so busy at work, or looking after others, that you take second, third or even fourth place.

Think about you!

Sometimes we need to be selfish and think of ourselves. If our wellbeing is not 100%, how can we expect to look after everyone else’s needs?

plan something different

Where do you think I will find the time?

Oh yes. I hear you! You are so busy with everyone and everything, there are never enough minutes in the day?! Make time! Schedule a slot in your diary just for you! Even if it is just 5 minutes to sit and have a coffee. Okay, so half an hour would be great, but if five is the maximum you can imagine, that’s a great start!

Why do I need to Plan it?

Research shows that if you plan to do something, you are more likely to take action! Start by writing in your diary, on your phone calendar, get Alexa to remind you, or set an alarm. Treat this time slot as an appointment, and stick to it.

What should I do?

You can do whatever you like in your You time! You can sit quietly; read a book; meditate; do some exercises; make yourself a nice drink; bake a cake; plan a bigger event such as a holiday; go for a swim; gaze at the stars; anything. you. like!

Some ideas for inspiration

Hello Laurena🙂I’m sure you can relate to your own blog post, being a mum etc! Bit of a cliché but a nice cup of (Assam/Earl Grey) tea usually calms me down hehe.
I used to treat myself to a massage or facial after another crazy, hectic 50-hr week at the office, that seems like a long time ago now lol.
We like forest walks to clear our head. Hope you’re well x
